Paying for visits, not views: how KUPELY works for local businesses

A plain walkthrough of creator marketing on KUPELY for a neighborhood business: how an offer works, who you approve, what you pay for, and how to see what it brought in.

In short

  • Local creators recommend your business, and you pay only for the results you choose: clicks, actions (Call, Directions, Website) or leads.
  • Payments come from a budget you fund, every amount splits 90% to the creator and 10% to the platform, and the offer pauses when the funds run out.
  • You approve every creator yourself and follow the results in your business cabinet.

Most local businesses have tried paying for attention at some point. A boosted post, a flyer, a listing upgrade. The hard part is always the same: you pay first, and you are left guessing whether anyone came in because of it.

KUPELY takes a different approach. Local creators recommend your business to the people who follow them, and you pay when those recommendations produce results you have chosen to pay for. This article walks through how that works from your side.

The short version

  1. You create an offer that describes what you want creators to promote.

  2. You set what you will pay for each result, and fund a budget for it.

  3. Creators in your city see the offer and ask to promote it. You approve the ones who fit.

  4. Each approved creator gets their own referral link and shares it with their audience.

  5. When people follow that link and do what you pay for, the creator earns from your funded budget.

You can see all of it in your business cabinet as it happens.

What you actually pay for

When you create an offer, you set a rate for up to three kinds of result:

  • Click. Paid once when a visitor arrives through a creator's link.

  • Action. Paid once for the first Call, Directions, or Website press on your KUPELY page.

  • Lead. Paid once when a visitor's application form is saved.

Any of the three can be set to zero if it does not matter to you. A bakery might care most about people pressing Directions. A studio that books consultations might care most about leads. You decide which results are worth money to your business.

Each result is counted once per visitor. The same person tapping the same link again a few days later does not cost you twice, and unusual patterns are screened before anyone is paid.

A budget you control

You do not pay for results that have not happened. Instead, you fund a budget for the offer, and payments for results come out of it as they arrive. Every amount is split the same way: 90% goes to the creator and 10% is the platform commission. The offer form shows both parts, so there are no surprises later.

You can also state a planned total for the campaign, the size you intend it to reach, separately from what you have funded right now. Creators see both, which helps them understand how far the offer is meant to go. We cover this in more detail in our article on setting rates and funding an offer.

If the funded amount runs out, the offer pauses by itself rather than running up a bill. Add funds and it can continue.

You choose who promotes you

Creators do not get a link to your offer automatically. They ask, and you approve or decline. That keeps you in control of who speaks for your business. It is worth taking a moment with each request: where the creator's audience lives, what they usually recommend, and whether their tone suits your place.

If you want creators to actually come in and make a video about you, you can also add a one-time visit payment to the offer. Each creator you approve receives it once, after you confirm they visited and delivered what you agreed.

Where you see the results

Your business cabinet shows which creators are sending people your way, what each result cost, and how much of your budget is left. After a few weeks you will know which voices bring in the right guests, and you can adjust from there: raise a rate that is working, pause an offer during a slow season, or approve a new creator.

Is it a good fit?

KUPELY tends to suit businesses where people visit in person and where a personal recommendation matters: cafes, restaurants, salons, studios, shops, and local services. If a friend's word has ever brought you a regular customer, this is the same idea with a clear record of what happened.

The best way to find out is to start small. Publish one offer with a modest budget, approve a couple of creators you genuinely like, and see what comes in.
